Live hasn't been $60 I don't think. Hell you can easily get it for $40. New controller? Both the PS3 and Xbox come with a controller I thought...

Which is why only very specific titles will ever be on my hard-drive. They are dropping the retail packaging and what not so I'd imagine its plenty cheaper to produce since you its digital right? Shouldnt then the price reflect that?
With just about all the titles...what's your point? Should other gamers be deprived of a convenience because it was on another console first? I'm glad to have Socom on my hard drive and will be just as glad to have 360 titles on a hard drive as well.

A monthly fee for access to recent movies. It'd be one helluva negotiation with studios tho. Sony does have there own library however and a massive one at that so its hardly impossible.
Major movie studios are not gonna allow there high demand movies to be streamed free. The Netflix streaming service was a free addition to Netflix subscribers and an added incentive for new users. There was no additional cost to use it. They got a deal with Starz which has a rather recent library of movies like Wall-E for instance is now on there.
It'd be nice if studios decided they don't care about money and released there newer releases for free to all...but come on now lets b...
Netflix recently switched over to MS Silverlight service too stream it's movies. If Hulu starts using MS Silverlight will it still work on the PS3? I haven't found any other browsers that support that except for IE. Tho there are plans for it to be made compatible with Opera and Chrome, apparently it also works with Firefox already..so maybe that doesn't even matter
But hey it's just a thought.

EDIT: Re read it again and yeah its an event be held in Paris not hosted by SCEE, they among others are just attending and SCEE is hosting a special thing to help people better understand the PS3.

Me thinks a ploy is at hand here. Marketing for a game, a company and an event all rolled into a few legal jabs among other elements. The game industry wants the Hollywood/Music lifestyle and this is just another step in that direction by creating some tabloid worthy journalism.

I liked Degeneration much more than the Live action series. It had its direct to DVD moments but overall was a solid watch for anyone who enjoys the RE games.
I see many people taking this as a fanboy article when if read properly you can see it that it is an examination of what both MS and Sony may be inclined to do from this point on. It was not an attack on one but both competing companies and their business practices when it comes to exclusive content. I can't remember how well Gears 2 announcement was received at GDC. It was inevitable yeah, but were people expecting so sudden?

I'm sure with a little basic thinking you can come up with a solution for any game type. Stop being so narrow minded about things. This is still in early stages with plenty of time to figure out how to get things to function as well as refine the whole setup. I'd imagine also some of the tech being implemented right into the next console, such as the voice and facial recognition. I quite like the idea of walking into a room saying something and having my console startup a movie for me. You se...
